Penguin tetra is a colorful and peaceful schooling fish for planted and community aquariums. They should be kept in groups of more than 6 per group. Penguin fish is another peaceful, hardy fish for beginner. Though hardy you should not use them for cycling your tank. This fish may have called us Penguin fish due to their upright swimming pattern when compared to the normal horizontal swimming pattern.
