Blind Cave tetra | Mexican Tetra
Blind Cavetetra is a large tetra fish avilable in two forms, With eye as Mexican tetra and without eye as blind cave tetra. Blind cavetetra is a aggressive species, so it should be kept with other active aggressive species. To reduce the stress keep them in large heavily planted aquarium or aquarium with cave setup or dim lighted covered environment. And they should be kept in groups of more than 6 per group. Blind cave tetra is not so particular about water hardness and temperature so it is quite a hardy fish to care. But If the water quality is maintained and treated with live food, they will spawn easily. All blind cave tetra fish will have eyes while born, later it starts to disappear as it grows. And all blind cave tetra are albino species [as far as I know..].

Breeding | Easy, with school of fish with more females . They spawn on the substrate or on spawning mob . They scatter eggs in the bottom and if not separated they will eat their own eggs. Eggs will hatch within 24 – 30 hours. |
