Penguin tetra --classifieds

Penguin tetra is a colorful and peaceful schooling fish for planted and community aquariums. They should be kept in groups of more than 6 per group. Penguin fish is another peaceful, hardy fish for beginner. Though hardy you should not use them for cycling your tank. This fish may have called us Penguin fish due to their upright swimming pattern when compared to the normal horizontal swimming pattern.

Food	Omnivorous: Live food , high quality flakes and frozen food
Temperament	Peaceful. Fin nipping behaviors show sometimes towards slow moving fishes.
Care Level	Easy, for Beginners. Schooling Fish should be kept in 6 – 10 in numbers.
Sexing	Males are slim. Mature healthy females have round belly.
Egg Layers	Yes.
Breeding	Easy, with school of fish with more males . They spawn on the substrate or on spawning mob . They scatter eggs in the bottom and if not separated they will eat their own eggs. Eggs will hatch in 24 hours.
