Our client is a leading bank who is now looking for an AVP of Market Risk to join their team. Reporting into the Head of Market Risk you will be responsible for managing the market risk function of the bank. This will include evaluating and approving market risk limits and triggers, limit exceptions and trigger breaks as well as new products for trading.
Other responsibilities include, providing input to credit risk on approval of counterparty credit limits, collateral thresholds and approvals of individual trades. You will also be handling the banks regulatory requirements relating to market risk including Basel reporting for the central bank. Liaising with the front office, back office and risk management team will be an integral part of your role to ensure the smooth monitoring and reporting of limits and other MIS. To be successful in this role you must have at least six years experience within treasury and capital markets products within a risk management or trading role. University qualifications are essential, and ideally you will have a science or quantitative major. Ideally you will currently be in a market risk management role and be keen to progress your career within risk management. It is essential that you have the skills to institutionalise concepts, procedures and processes and have the ability to translate them into practices and written policies. An excellent working knowledge of business statistic and computer skills is essential for this role. http://www.charterhouseme.ae
